Meet the Doctor
(upbeat music) Hi my name is Chris Meyer I’m in orthopedics I’m primarily in hand and upper extremity surgery. Uh, I used to be in private practice but there’s certain things that I didn’t like about it—access to patients that couldn’t get access otherwise. And being part of big institution then gives me access to other specialties and use those specialties to optimize and maximize patient care what’s what I was looking for. I got exposed to orthopedics when I was young both from when I was playing sports and through some family connections so I was kind of interested in it from the beginning and once I kind of got exposed in medical school then there was no question. [Reporter laughs off camera.] When I do have some free time I try and golf that’s one of the things I’ve always enjoyed for years so being down here especially try and take advantage of that, and spending time at home with my dogs outside or taking them to the park when I can is a nice way to get out and enjoy the sun. (upbeat music)

Dr. Myer was patient with me. I've dealt with arthritis, bursitis and tendinitis on and off most of my life. Back in '22 my husband was dealing with depression that turned into dementia. My doc asked me to please get a 2nd covid booster shot. I got it and with in a week I couldn't make a fist with either hand or walk without hurting. I know saying some days they are very painful and others not so painful makes it difficult to diagnose what is happening. He has referred me to a neurologist and I will see Dr. Myer's after that appointment. Very happy with Dr.Myer's being my doctor.
